Pre Travel Program (birth years 2016 & 2017 only):
Our Pre Travel Program exists to ease the transition from Rec to Travel for our youngest players.
The WMSC Pre-Travel program is designed for REC players that are interested in enhancing that experience and preparing them for future Travel Soccer participation. The program will add to the foundation that has been built in REC with a focus on ball skills, small sided games, and most importantly, FUN!
Here's what to expect in preparing players for more competitive play in travel:
- The focus is on player development, and the team is NOT entered into a local league.
- Players participate for 8 weeks, with two 60 minute practice sessions on Monday and Wednesday from 4:30p to 5:30p weekly.
- Fall: Practices typically begin the Monday after Labor Day and run through the first week of November. There are no practices on Columbus day weekend.
- Spring: Practices begin Monday, April 15th and run through Wednesday, June 12th. There are no practices Memorial day weekend from May 27th - June 2nd.
- Players will compete in mini-tournaments on Saturday every other week. Dates, locations, and times are TBD based on team size and availability.
- All Pre-Travel teams are led by dedicated, professional trainers from Cheshire Soccer Academy.
This program is offered during the same time slots as our rec program and run out of Black River Fields in Chester, NJ. The cost of the program is $285 per player.
